We've been hunting the last few years for a place to have our first Bloom & Co. brick-and-mortar store. But, as you know, as a small business owner, it's not always easy to find something that fits the budget and the look you're going for.
That's why when a small shop became available in a historic building, near Round Top, Texas & just two blocks from our Airbnb The Bloom Inn, we took a leap and snagged it.
I was with my friend Judy, who had purchased & remodeled the building, when she first spotted for it sale.
It was in rough shape. Dilapidated floors. No windows. Dusty & musty and bleak.
We talked about what could be, and I showed her inspiration photos of what I thought a retail shop could look like there. Something that flowed with the historic period of the building, but yet was fresh & modern.
Black & white tile entry. Original wood floors. Shiplap walls painted a fresh bright white. Fabulous antique front store windows and a unique entry door (Judy scooped up the perfect option for both).
The space turned out ideal for my whole vision, & is the perfect home for Bloom & Co., which sells farm fresh flowers, our line of curated pillows, home decor & vintage finds.
I love mixing old & new, and repurposing things for a fresh take. It's the basis for my whole brand, so I knew this little shop--all 350 square feet of it-- was meant for us.
Not to mention it's in the hub of Fayetteville, located right on the main Town Square near Joe's Place, a fabulous burger spot, and nestled among a few other adorable shops, The Velvet Hen & Vintage Rose Market, plus the Rural Arts of Texas, which holds amazing art shows.
Bloom & Co. is also smack center of all things antique, being just 10 minutes from Round Top, and it's famous antique shows.
It's truly an ideal location.
Map it & come shop: Bloom & Co., 126B North Live Oak, Fayetteville, TX 78940
